60s Blue Hawaiian Tiki Floral Print Shift Dress$30.00
Slightly psychedelic, totally Hawaiian! This groovy, blue abstract floral print 1960s shift dress features a bold design in shades of ultramarine, violet, neon and avocado green. The mid-weight fabric is what vintage folks often refer to as barkcloth--most likely a blend of cotton and acetate, in this case. The simple, sleeveless silhouette of the dress includes bust darts, but is otherwise a straight, tubular shape, with side seam slits for ease of walking. This unconstructed shape can be belted with the narrow double sash in matching fabric, if you prefer a more defined waist. The dress has functional buttons and loops at the top of the left shoulder and a side seam, metal zipper. It is lined in blue acetate taffeta. The dress is in very good condition, with one pinhole in the left side of the bodice (see close-up), and some very slightly pilling to the fabric surface, that was too minor to show up in a photo. This 1960s Hawaiian dress will look equally fab at your next tiki party, cocktail party on the patio, or dancing the night away under a black light!
