I have had this purse for at least 30 years, and have used it occasionally, but generally, it sits on a shelf, as a beautiful object. like sculpture. This is a great gift for the collector, as it is such a wonderful example of the late 50's sophistication that inspired me, so many years ago. Because my father was a furrier, he always had Vogue magazine in his salon, and I am sure that is where I got my fashion sense in the mid-late 50s. And then there were the movies! When you take this purse out on the town, you will feel like a QUEEN! It closes securely, and it is a good size, able to hold keys, compact, cell phone, tissues, etc. One little gold rivet is missing on one side...that is the only flaw. Perhaps a jeweler could come up with a solution. Without the rivet, the bar can droop. Enjoy!
