Gorgeous hand stitched and quilted quilt with pink flowers and green leaves on a creamy white background. The flowers look like azaleas or rhododendron. There is a lot of detail on the flowers - varying shades of pinks and greens, embroidered stamen and leaf centers. Flowers are framed by a scalloped green border. The quilt has scalloped edges and flower bouquets on each corner. It's light weight. All cotton. Seller said it was made in the 1950s. Comes from North Carolins where azaleas and rhododenrons are prolific in the spring. It's in very good condition. A few light stains on the back and a bit of age related yellowing along one edge on the right side. It measures 71" long and 83" wide and is shown on a double bed. It works because I layered it over another longer coverlet would defnitely fit a twin bed well.
