A famous Novelty item from the 50's!!! This fantastic and fun printed linen hanky was featured in a book, a few years back, and since then has been highly sought. I have had them before, and sold them on this sight, but this is the first DEADSTOCK ( never used) one I have seen, with the original paper sticker. Some of these are edged in yellow, and some are edged in red. This is the red variety, and I don't see any others on Etsy with the "Ranshaw" label. The design includes a bold grid of foods and beverages and their individual calorie counts printed in bright primary colors. The checkerboard framing surrounds the word CALORIES in the center of the hanky. This example is mint, free of any holes, or tears. I found a few tiny yellowish spots, that could have been created by being next to rusty pin in a drawer? See photos. Handsome enough to frame, this mid century textile also help you maintain that fashionable waistline.
