Preowned, vintage black maxi skirt by designer Nelly de Grab, likely made in the late 1950s, early 1960s. Nelly de Grab worked out of her 7th Ave headquarters in New York from the 50s and up through her death in the early 70s, and was known for her coordinating top and skirt sets, made from luxurious materials (and which looked like dresses when worn together). This skirt is a great example of her work, and is made from what we believe is a wool or wool blend gabardine fabric (no content label). It fastens with a zipper and flat hook/eye, and is fully lined with an appx 12in vent panel. So chic and well-tailored! Preowned/vintage with minimal signs of prior use and wear: we note two belt strings at the waist, but the original belt is long gone.
No size tag, fits like a modern S/M. Approximate measurements (taken flat and doubled where appropriate): Waist - 28 inches, Length - 42 inches, Hip - 38 inches.
