Graff of California
50s/60s Victorians On A Border Print Skirt Fair Scene

Graff Of California's women’s blue, green and purple, cotton pleated skirt.

Very Good condition, size M (6 - 8) and S (4).

Detailed measurements:

Waist - 27 inches
Length - 31 inches

You have to love it when Victorian ladies and gentlemen go to the fair in a 1950s border print. The stripes of the tents and parasols are echoed in the turquoise stripes of the fabric itself, contrasting with the ironwork of the bandstand and the roundness of the balloons ... Look at the little girl buying a balloon! And the extra border of colorful parasols. And, of course, the colors--which are both very 1950s and very late-19th-century!

This wonderful skirt was made by Graff Californiawear and is in very good to excellent condition. It is still crisp, and the colors are very clear and strong. Even the button, buttonhole, and metal zipper look great. Nicely pleated, too.

The only way to know it's been worn, really, is that it has 2 flaws:
- There's a mended rip just above a weathervane on the right hip. Somebody zigzagged it on a sewing machine to mend it (as pictured).
- At the hem almost directly below that, there's an area about 1.5 inch square that has some smudge gray lines, as if from ink. I have not tried to remove these.

Otherwise, it's in extremely good shape--it's hard to find novelty skirts that look and feel this fresh!

Measurements
waist: 27.5 (snug)
length: 31
hem: 2.25
sweep: 93 inches all the way around the bottom

This is a genuine vintage item, but it is in remarkable condition. I have done my best to inspect it carefully and describe it fully. This skirt will give its owner lots of happy outings for years to come--but remember, it will not look as if it were made this morning (and you wouldn't want it to, anyway--you love vintage!).

From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home. The cats don't wear the clothes, but they might help me tape up a package.

Thank you for looking!
