I love early Pucci! These are from when his label was “Emilio of Capri” (yes that is where “capris” come from - he loved a cropped tapered trouser). At this time he was less geometric and his prints were more literal - this is a faithful rose print, for example. These are timeless and work in any season, in my opinion. I’ve included a pic of dress by Pucci in this same fabric, entitled “rose bis” which dates to his spring/summer 1958 collection.
As Life magazine said in 1959, “his colorful and boldly designed silk shirts and slacks have already become a leisure-time uniform of the international set”
