50s/60s Pink Silk Satin Evening Gown Rhinestones Sequins$750.00
This is just an absolutely stunning late 50s early 60s pink silk satin gown. The gown is just absolutely covered with beading, sequins, and rhinestones. The neckline is V-ed and with pleating on the sides of the bust and has flowers in sequined silvery seed beads, silver ball beads, and iridescent sequins, and at the center of the flowers are large super sparkly sew-on rhinestones. The bodice of the gown is fitted to the waist and there are small petals and flowers scattered about with handset rhinestones all about the gown. The skirt is slightly fuller at the hips but hangs straight down from them. It is slightly more full in the back so it will swish nicely out behind you. The skirt is also covered in the same decoration as the bodice and there is another ring of flowers that circles the skirt about 3 inches from the hem. The gown has a metal zipper up the back with a hook and eye at the top. The skirt of the dress is lined in broadcloth like cotton to give it more body and help shape the skirt. The dress does have a label in the skirt: Harvey Berin design by Karen Stark.
Condition:
The dress is in fantastic condition with no flaws to note. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
Sizing
The dress was originally meant for a petite woman. It would still be lovely though on a non-petite woman, falling to mid-calf and there is about 2 inches in the hem if one was taller and wanted it longer.
