50s/60s 1.5 Yard Of "tara Hall" Fabric Gone With The Wind$59.00
Good condition.
Detailed measurements:
Length - 54 inches
Width - 38 inches
Presenting slightly more than 1.5 yards of Millworth's "Tara Hall" in the light brown color way, with periwinkle blue in the wisteria ... A color palette that would have been possible during the time Gone with the Wind is set!
It's the famous scene in which Scarlett eats barbecue with the boys--which actually happened at Twelve Oaks, I believe ... I love the girl on the right; she looks disgusted with Scarlett's flirting. You get three repeats of the motif--enough, perhaps, to use as panels in a skirt? Or for part of a quilt--maybe a cover for your copy of GWTW.
This is true vintage fabric that has never been used. However, it is not perfect. There are three areas of scattered staining, which occurred along the previous owner's fold lines. The largest one is about 5 inches wide, and it extends about 6 inches from the selvedge. I've shown all three areas in photos with a hand for scale. I have not tried to soak the marks out; this fabric is not washed. Even if the stains do not come out, you could tuck them away in a pleat or a bunch of gathers, and they would not be noticeable. You also have a good amount of fabric up at the top, so you could cut some away.
Both selvedges are intact; I just can't get a great picture showing the full width of the fabric.
