This vintage necktie is a cool blend of hip and square. Square in that, wearing a tie is (by definition) not casual. Hip in that, the fabric is a denim-ish cottony twill done in red and black (as the weft) with cream/white forming the warp, muting the colors a bit, and forming a natural fringe at the squared bottoms (also hip in this context).
