50’s Pearl Bridal Headpiece with Imported Silk Veil

The most stunning "something old" for your wedding day.

This bridal crown with attached imported silk veil was originally sold at Winner's Inc., a shop that was located on Haywood Street in Asheville, North Carolina. It comes in its original pale pink box and with a little heart-shaped tag from its maker, a company called Altar-Bound.

This piece is truly gorgeous. Rows of tiny faux pearls are attached to the crown with wire while larger teardrop-shaped faux pearls dangle from the top points. The security features are also decorated with pearls. The delicate veil flows from the back of the crown down to around the hips.

Condition: Good vintage condition. There is some brown discoloration to the body of the crown. It seems to have originally been covered in white thread which has changed color as a reaction to contact with the metal wire (I think). I have not attempted to clean it. There are also a few brown spots on the veil. The veil also has a few tiny holes here and there, but it presents beautifully nonetheless.

Measurements:

Inside diameter: 5 inches

Bottom of security attachment to top of crown: 4 inches

Length of veil: 33 inches
