Size: M Bust: measures 41" flat, to fit approx. 38-40" Waist: measures 31" flat to fit approx. 30" Hip: full (50" flat) Length: 47" from shoulder to hem in front Underarm to waist length: 8" Waist to hem length: 31" Shoulder to shoulder: 14. 5" Label: none This circa late 1950s or early 1960s black lace cocktail dress with sleeveless, illusion bodice has a modified bubble skirt. The full, lower-calf-length skirt is gathered at the bottom into a softly rounded shape. The fitted bodice is shaped with darts and has a V-neckline with an inset of sheer black mesh in front and in back. A small, flat bow adorns the top of each shoulder. The sheer lace is lined with black acetate taffeta, and has a second lining layer of black tulle in the skirt section. The dress fastens with a back metal zipper, and a tiny button at the back of the neck. It comes with its matching, skinny lace belt (which we forgot to add, except in the back-view photos!). It is possible that the dress was hemmed one small section shorter, previously, which might add some more fullness to the bubble shape of the skirt, see our photo of the dress lining, to see what we mean. Other than this possible hem adjustment, this lovely black lace late 1950s party dress has no issues to note. It is in excellent condition. Our last photo shows it unclipped from the mannequin, to give a better idea of actual size/fit.
