This is a set of 5 beautiful vintage periwinkle blue Cameoware bowls with the Dainty Flower stencil pattern in white. They have both scalloped and flat edges and are a square shape, which is about 7 ¾” across and 1 ½” high. The size is idea for cereal, salad, or soup.

2 are in overall excellent condition. Of these, 1 has no chips, cracks, discoloring, or other issues. The other has only a small black smudge on the front near one edge and a little discoloring on the back.

1 has a tiny chip and hairline crack near one edge. The crack is visible on the underside but is only at the surface. There is a larger chip on the underside and some tiny chips along the rim. There are some blemishes in the finish of the underside that would have occurred during the production process.

1 has minor crazing, some dark marks in the blue and discoloring on the white flower design on top (the latter is typical with Cameoware).

1 has more crazing, several brown spots in the base of the bowl, some discoloring in the white, and some small shallow chips around the rim. It also has a line on the rim that looks like a crack, but you can only see it, not feel it, so it’s just surface in the finish. It is discolored in places on the back and has what looks like a large chip on the bottom but it’s glazed so would have happened during production.

Harker Pottery produced Cameoware from 1936 until the 1950s. The stencil pattern on this plate was called "Dainty Blue" and "White Blossom" in the company’s sales brochures but is now usually called "Dainty Flower.” Harker’s brochures said Cameoware was made of “semi-porcelain that is heatproof, coldproof, and acid-resisting.”
