40s Basic Black Utilitarian Shoes - Great Costume$14.00
These shoes are really old. I tried to do a little research on them & couldn’t find the brand. A friend who knows vintage clothes says she thinks that they’ve been re-heeled. Back in those days instead of getting new shoes, you just got new heels out on your old shoes. Thing is, even the new heels are all scuffed up. So, the inside liners are curled up, and one is torn. The shoes are still wearable like this, but kind of uncomfortable. Perhaps if you were doing a theatre production, set in World War II and you needed to be dressed in utilitarian shoes, these would be them. See pictures for measurements. Any indication of size has worn off completely. I know they’re smaller. Looks like they will fit a foot that is 9 inches long. I think that is a size 6 or 6.5
