40s Silk Velvet Dress 🍃

Elegant 1940s dress in a unique color pallete. Sage green draped chiffon bodice with V neck front and back. Sheer portion is lined and held up by concealed spaghetti straps. Ruching at waist above a gored skirt with full sweep. Shimmering, metallic silk velvet in a smoky copper. It is a color I've never seen before and hard to describe, very beautiful! Side metal Conmar zipper. As evident in the photos, there are crushed portions throughout the skirt. Some can be brushed back into place but overall they are still visible. Looks like a small repair has been hand stiched on one side, not noticeable unless looking closely. This is quite small (too small even for the dress form) with very little allowance so please refer closely to measurements. Other than the marks on the skirt this is quite sturdy and in good vintage condition. Not perfect but unique and very pretty. Plenty of additional photos available for serious buyers 🌿
