This is a beautiful example of the very popular style box bag purse/vanity case from the 1940s. "Box Bags" were all the rage in the WW2 era as materials were rationed and purses got smaller using a "box" design was cute and gave you more space and they could be made out of different materials, though traditional leathers like this one were made as well.

This is a dark Navy blue bag with a unique size (not too small not too large) and a double flap opening like a doctor's bag. It's a fantastic and unique design.

It’s in great condition (see pics) and would be a great addition to any 1940's collection!
