This is a fun 30s/40s rayon taffeta plaid party dress. The dress is in a wonderful plaid of green-black, white, yellow and pink on a white base. It is off the shoulders with little crisscrossing spaghetti straps for more support. The sleeves sit off the shoulders and are little puffs with velvet bows on each side of the neckline and are trimmed in fun ruffles that also run along the top of the sleeves. The dress is fitted in the bodice with a victorian, art deco-styled seaming detail. There is another black velvet bow at the center of the bust. The skirt is full and is gathered at the sides of the waist to give it its volume. The skirt has two seams that run down the front and back and are nicely cut and sewn together so that the plaid pattern matches up and has a nice chevron at the center. The dress has a side metal zipper and is pulled on over the head.

Condition:
The dress is in great condition overall with only one small flaw to note. There is some staining to the underarms that did not come out in the laundering. It is well hidden with the puff sleeves and the ruffles. Other than this small flaw the dress is ready to wear. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
