Koret of California
40s Forest Green Trikskirt

According to his family, the Trikskirt was invented in 1941 by Arthur Heyman, whose wife Bess sold the patent to Joe Koret in 1943 (though the Trikskirt was being advertised under the Koret name by the fall of 1942). The Korets made a fortune with the design, arguably the most popular among their similar styles like the Swurlskirt and the Pleetskirt. Koret initially offered the Trikskirt with or without a drawstring, with button or zipper closure, but in the next three decades the drawstring would become a signature feature of the Trikskirt. This is one of these early styles, probably right around 1944. Buttons can be worn to the front or the side.

Measurements:

Waist - 28 inches
Length - 25 inches
Hip - 38 inches

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The fabric kind of looks a little mottled with brown in some light, but I think this is just how the fabric is and not a flaw.
