Vintage early mid 1940s Black Puff Sleeve Dress Rainbow Trim Waistband Illusion Neck XS

Wow! Gorgeous dress. Handmade. Some of the stitching particularly around the waistband are crooked but its not terribly noticeable when worn. One small hole in the overlay on the skirt and a small hole near the top of the shoulder The tafetta skirt hem and sleeves have a moire appearance. Rainbow trim around sleeves and waist. Applique at illusion neckline. The bottom trim of the lining skirt peeks out about 3.5" beyond the sheer overlay. I believe the dress was originally made in the late 30s and the sleeves and cummerbund and additional hem fabric were added in the early mid 40s.
