This is such a fun set of 4 pieces to make up a killer 40s majorette costume. The main piece of the set is a white rayon satin jacket that zips up the front from the waistline. The jacket is completely covered in rows and rows of bright white fringe. It has a high neckline that fastens with a hook and eye and is trimmed in navy blue piping. The costume also has faux epaulets sewn into the shoulders with shoulder pads that snap onto the jacket on the inside. The jacket also has open underarms for movement, as it was meant to be used as a performance costume. It is long-sleeved and there is no fringe on the sleeves. There is a swirl pattern in blue piping on the sleeve and the cuffs have fringe and fasten with a small metal zipper. The jacket falls past the hips but is open past the waist in the front and shows the shorties underneath.
The next piece is a pair of navy blue rayon satin shorties. They have a metal zipper on the left side with elastic in the leg openings.
The other two pieces are a blue rayon satin belt that is stiffened to keep its shape and fastens with hooks and eyes and a fringed and sequined tiara. The tiara is a blue base that is also stiffened to help hold its shape and is trimmed on the top with silver sequins and white fringe. The tiara is sewn into shape and is not adjustable.

Condition:
The set is in great condition with no flaws to note. The only thing is that the shorts have large pleats that were done to take them in to fit the original wearer. They could easily be let out if needed for a few more inches of room. The set has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
