This is such a unique fabric, that screams early 1950's, and it's ready for your next special project!

I had the glory, many years ago, of being brought a series of deadstock (never sold) fabrics from the 1950's. These fabrics had been sold at a sundries store in Philadelphia, and when the shop closed in the early 1960's, all the leftover stock was put into storage, where it sat until the early 2010's -and it was brought to me. I've had these fabrics available for purchase, usually by the yard. But, this one felt so special that I held onto it for many years, in hopes the 'right' project would come along for it, but alas, that time never came...

Now, this fabric is available for purchase by you! A fiber burn test confirmed my suspicion, that it is in fact 100% cotton. It comes in a medium-weight hand, and features a subtle diamond pattern weave. The ground color is a fresh spring green, and the overall print is very artistic, akin to a sketch or painting. It depicts roses, along with other flora in deep green, with light pink, yellow, white, and pinkish-red tones. The real kicker, though: touches of bronze colored metallic fabric paint, in a very thin and light layer, rest on highlight areas of the print! A special fabric, not often found, especially unused and on the original fabric display board (cardboard). This fabric would be suitable for certain clothing items, bags, and some upholstery projects. Condition is new, but unwashed after storage, so there may be some very light storage stains throughout, however, nothing noticeable was noted during measuring and photography.
