This very rare late 30s, early 40s paisley bandana print skirt and top set is vintage summer dreams. This 2 piece set is made of the lightest and softest lawn cotton, with that satiny smooth feel and almost-sheer look. There's a hand crochet(? I believe) Lace trim collar, with a ruffle that goes over the shoulder and all the way across the back of the neck. Matching lace trim adorns the skirt at the middle and hem. There's blue edging on the trim to match the set. Set consists of a blouse and skirt.Blouse is constructed as a pull on style, with gussets added at the armpits for a little cap style sleeve. There's a stitched gathering at the back of the waist for a slimmer figure when tucked into the skirt. Front of bodice has two pintucks at waist for a slimmer fit.Skirt is made of two tiers of fabric, with crochet trim between. Waistband is backed by a thicker cotton in a faded blue that has ensured this set endures. Double plastic buttons at the waist, with a single snap closure below (You need to press hard to seal the snap.)Measures: Bust 42", waist 26", length of top 20", length of skirt 26", arm hole 16". Shown on a size 4 misses dress form, equivalent to about a modern size 2 US. No flaws or issues to note.
