Women’s white, silk a-line skirt.

Worn condition, size S (4) and XS (000 - 2).

This skirt is so interesting. The fabric is most likely a substitute silk made during WWII for parachutes. At that time, sewers were happy to get their hands on any kind of fabric in order to make some new clothes. This type of silk was for lining uniforms and like I said, parachutes. So this would be some sort of military surplus fabric most likely purchased on black market. Hook and eye closures on back may be from the 30s.
