Here is a lovely little length of lace, ready to be re-purposed and re-fashioned...This rounded cut of black lace was machine made, but picked together by hand. It has been fashioned into a rounded shape, with one section on the bias, and mesh base left along the outer edges. It's most likely that this piece was used as a shawl, capelet, or perhaps a peplum. The shape is not a perfect circle, but drapes beautifully. Overall condition is excellent for its age, with a few small holes in the mesh section.
