This antique French blanket was handmade and crocheted in France with a lovely open floral and geometric design.   It was previously owned by someone who collected antique crochet textile art and it dates back to the early 1900s.  It was skillfully made from heavy white cotton thread.  The details and craftsmanship are amazing!  It would be perfect as a bed cover, textile art wall hanging, or as a throw for your couch.  Wherever you decide to use it, it will surely add texture and pattern to your home. Crochet is a handwork technique popularized in France in the early 1800s.
