2 Vintage Blue and White Cameoware Small Berry Bowls Harker Pottery Co Retro Kitchen Ware Dinnerware$16.00
This is a set of 2 beautiful vintage periwinkle blue Cameoware small bowls, commonly used for berries, with the Dainty Flower stencil pattern in white. They have both scalloped and flat edges and are a square shape. They measure 5” across and 1 ½” high.
Both of them have minor crazing and bumps or other irregularities on the finish that occurred during production. One has a small chip on a rim on the top and a surface hairline crack that goes through to the back but is only surface. It has a larger chip on the underside near that crack that you can see a little from the rim. There’s also a small surface hairline crack in another area on the back.
The other one has several small chips on the rim on the top, most of them very small. Two are more noticeable, with one of those larger than the others. There’s also a small hairline crack that goes through to the back, but it’s just surface.
Despite the issues, the bowls are still very usable (my cupboards are full of slightly chipped dishes!). They are a great find—I don’t often see many Cameoware bowls of this size.
Please see my other listings of Cameoware.
Harker Pottery produced Cameoware from 1936 until the 1950s. The stencil pattern on this plate was called "Dainty Blue" and "White Blossom" in the company’s sales brochures but is now usually called "Dainty Flower.” Harker’s brochures said Cameoware was made of “semi-porcelain that is heatproof, coldproof, and acid-resisting.”
Marked “Cameoware by Harker Pottery Co Patented USA” on the back.
