Absolutely exquisite white lawn cotton Edwardian antique gown. High squared neckline trimmed in lawn cotton. Floral crochet scalloped lace across the bodice The entire dress is pin-tucked and down the front bodice the tucks run vertical. At the sides of the bodice the pin-tucks are horizontal, a special little detail. The crochet lace creates a cape-like effect over the shoulders and sleeves peek out, also trimmed in crochet lace. The dress sits at the natural waist. It is lined in lawn cotton, but it is still sheer. Another lovely detail is the way the skirt tulips over the hips and then gathers into the crochet lace trim around the lower legs. It's a very feminine silhouette. The back bodice wraps over itself and closes with metal hooks and eyes. Looking at this gown you can see and feel the love and work that went into crafting it. It's incredible.
