This sheer white nylon 1950s nightgown by Rogers combines floral lace and dainty crystal pleating to goddess-worthy, glamorous effect. The plunging V neckline is framed by sheer panels of lace at the bust, each with a small panel of pleats set in the middle. Piping trims the arm openings, and runs along each side of the bodice to meet in a center V at the waist seam, mirroring the V-shape of the neckline, a nice detail! In back, the pleated nylon meets in a center twist below the V neckline, above a plain sheer panel at the back of the waist. The equally sheer skirt section of the nightgown has tiny pleats all around, and falls to below ankle length on our relatively tall mannequin. Made of nylon tricot, the nightgown is labeled a size 36 (see measurements for more details). It is in excellent to mint condition. Rogers was a US manufacturer of high-quality lingerie, and this lovely nylon nightgown is a fine example. It is very similar style to the crystal-pleated slip shown in our last photo, from an early 1950s Rogers ad.
