Sweet cotton pillowcases with pink and white embroidery in two corners on the front. For a large square sham or pillow. Probably early 1900s or older, probably European made. Three buttons to close it. ONe appears to be the original fabric covered button, the other two look like newer replacements. Measures approx. 28" square.

Great vintage condition. The worst issue is that there is an unfortunate hole on the front but opposite the embroidery so that's good. See photo. Maybe you could patch it up? A couple of corners have tiny holes right in the corner, which could probably be stitched closed and not show at all. There is also a repair to one buttonhole. There are some very faint mild yellow areas, they did not photograph well because they are just too light. Also, it appears that one end of the opening in back where you insert the actual pillow has opened up a few inches wider than it should be. It's not a tear or rip or anything like that, just looks like some stitching came open. I'm not much of a seamstress or I'd sew it back up again, but perhaps you are better at that than I. Either way, it would still be perfectly fine as is. It just doesn't completely match the other end. Priced accordingly and as is.
