Buttons have been replaced and some 40s -50s plastic ones added to the bottom at some point. Easily removed and the back button ones work but old ones aren’t hard to find if you want to go back to period at some point.

Really the beauty here other than the high quality cotton lawn fabric are these circle crotchet elements. It’s simple and striking and not fussy at all. This person was very fashion forward and elegant. When you look close and think of the history the tiny little circles start to mean more and how long this has lasted and the power of how long this will last if you take care of it starts to be real and you think about the strength behind something that’s perceived as having been earned when others have had it handed to them and all the little circles standing side by side are purposeful and strong. Oh yeah and it’s super cute and would look great with jeans.
