Wayne Husted 16 Tall Kingstown Pitcher In Emerald Green for Bischoff Glass Rare Design$350.00
This is a stunning piece designed by Wayne Husted during his "Undercover" stint working with Bischoff Glass in 1963. Mr. Husted goes into detail about his brief time working on these designs after leaving Blenko in his blog post from 2019, "Undercover at Bischoff". I screenshot the catalog page that shows this design. The post has lots of interesting details about his work for them. The tallest of 3 sleek pitchers he designed, it stands at just over 16" and 5" wide at the base. This came out of the same estate as another piece from this line I have also listed. Because that one is a rare color that was only produced in 1963, I believe this is probably from that same time which is also one of the last lines to come out of the Bischoff factory before it was bought by Indiana Glass. It's a stunning piece and is in good condition overall all. There is a chip on the side of the bottom part of the handle, this could have happened during the creation of the piece or after. It is right where the hand attaches and does not seem to compromise its use and defiantly not its beauty. Please see all photos. Otherwise just light signs of wear and age. The pontil mark on bottom is well defined and indicative of hand-blown glass, not a flaw.16" x 6" across the base
