Vintage Vases Small Fenton Hobnail Vases Milk Glass Blue Opalescent White Yellow Cranberry Midcentury$14.00
These small Fenton hobnail vases are being sold individually; please indicate on the dropdown which one(s) you would like. They are each so pretty on their own or displayed together—the light catches the opalescent ones in particular so beautifully!
In fact, the 1963 Fenton catalog says, “Fenton handmade planters, vases, and epergnes, are styled for imaginative floral arrangements—but even without flowers, their beauty is very much alive.”
These were all produced by Fenton between 1940 and 1970. Details on each piece are below. I didn’t show all the bottoms because I’m limited to 10 pictures, but let me know if you’d like to see them.
Blue ruffled or crimped hobnail pedestal vase. 3 ¾” tall. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The seams on the base are rough, which is a result of the production process.
Milk glass ruffled or crimped hobnail vase. 3 ¾” tall. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Yellow opalescent hobnail “hat” vase. 3 ½” tall. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Some might refer to this as “vaseline” colored. The seams on the base are rough, which is a result of the production process.
White opalescent ruffled or crimped hobnail vase. 3 ¾” tall. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are rough spots on the seams in the base but that occurred during the production process.
Cranberry opalescent ruffled hobnail vase. A little over 3 ¼” tall. There are no chips but there is a crack at the bottom because it doesn’t hold water. I can’t see the crack, however. At any rate, this should be used as a display piece only or anything that doesn’t need water. There’s also residue or discoloring in the crevices of some of the ruffles that I can’t get out. Despite the issues it’s still a gorgeous piece in a highly collectible color.
