Traditional African Kitenge style cloth meets modern design, in this unique blouse!
It is somewhat difficult for me to let go of such an incredible piece...this blouse, with obvious African influence, is made of a medium weight cotton fabric, featuring a busy design or blossoming roundels in golden yellow, black and white centered by red blobs. The scoop neckline has two tiers of black bias edging detail, which is repeated in the strange and wonderful sleeves. These dynamic sleeves are actually tri-faceted, with oblong nooks facing outward. Bottom part of bodice is a multi-tabbed peplum (see last pics)!! Lightly lined in black fabric. Center back has nylon zipper and hook + eye closure. Condition is excellent, with repair to left shoulder seam and bottom of zipper has been reinforced (please note: it can be somewhat difficult to get this blouse over one's shoulders. Please add one inch to the waist measurement -this is the width of the waist opening when getting this garment on). Made by a very skilled seamstress!
Measurements:
- 14" across from shoulder to shoulder
- 13" sleeve length
- 36" bust
- 28" waist
- 24" length from shoulder seam to hem
