Vintage Scarab Bracelet$194.00
I love scarab jewelry, so I was so excited to come across this piece. How did a lowly specimen become an exhausted figure, represented in jewelry for centuries? It started with the ancient Egyptians, who associated scarabs (aka dung beetles) with the sun god Ra, and considered the animal and important representation of personal growth, and the cycle of life. During the Victorian era, "Egyptomania" took hold, and scarabs became more popular than ever— in some cases, actual desecrated beetles were used in the jewels. As of late, we've seen houses like Gucci embrace the scarab. This bracelet features semi-precious gemstones in gold-toned metal, for a timeless, colorful look. Measures 7" long x about 1" wide. Please note that these gemstones have not been laboratory tested.
Great vintage condition. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements.
