Vintage Rococo Pendant Choker With Jacquard Ribbon$154.00
This piece combines so many elements that I love: jacquard ribbon, rococo art, chokers... it's doesn't get much better. It's giving Bridgerton vibes! This pendant was likely made in the 1960s, and features a porcelain painting by Jean Honore Fragonard. Fragonard was a Rococo artist prolific in the latter half of the 18th Century, Marie Antoinette's over-the-top heyday. Like much Rococo art, his work was romantic, and it often depicted courting couples, as seen here, but his work was especially noted for its display of exuberance and hedonism. The pendant is finished in the back with a pin to be worn as a brooch, but I especially love it worn as a pendant. It comes with this vintage French floral jacquard ribbon that I sourced separately. (The ribbon in and of itself is INSANE!) Pendant measures 1 7/8" x 1.5"Great vintage condition. Some natural wear which adds to this piece's charm.
