This beautiful vintage robe or dressing gown is pink with embroidered flowers and vines. It is open in the front (no buttons or zipper), has elbow length sleeves, and has 2 patch pockets. It has belt loops, but no belt, and is lined in white.

There is no size tag, but I estimate it’s a size medium to large based on these measurements: It is about 42” or 43” underarm to underarm if pulled closed and about 50” underarm to underarm if worn loose. It is 39” long from shoulder to bottom. The sleeves are 18” long from the shoulder to hem. It’s lightweight and very comfortable.

The sleeves sit off the shoulder. They are about elbow length, and are wide and drape well. The whole piece reminds me of a kimono as a result. It was made in Japan, probably in the 1950s or 1960s.
There is no maker’s label. I’m not sure what the fabric is, perhaps polyester or rayon. But it is machine washable.

There are a few blue marks and some other small stains on the outside. The lining shows wear in some areas, one shoulder seam in particular. The lining also has a blue stain and another tiny stain. Because of the way it was sewn, the lining shows in some places along the bottom. I have more pics than I was able to post; let me know if you’d like to see them.
