This is a rare 1960s vintage Martin Van Schaak clutch. The velvet evening bag features a lush paisley print in gold and red tones. A jewel encrusted peacock charm acts as the bag fastener. The interior is lined with satin. There is an attachable strap and an interior pocket mirror.

Martin Van Schaak's designs were never sold in stores. Each piece was a custom design for his clientele, which included Jacqueline Kennedy, Nancy Reagan, and Marlene Dietrich.
