Dress Pink and Blue Jersey Print 50s 60s$32.00
DETAILS: Sometimes, you just want to reach into your closet and pull out a comfortable dress that looks and feels great. This might be that dress! It is simply styled, with a scoopneck, cap sleeves and darting to fit the bodice. The swingy skirt is gently pleated into the waist seam in front, with three gores in back. There are some condition issues - see details below, and the dress is being sold as wearable but flawed.
SIZE: No size label
Bust 42" (106. 5 cm)
Waist 30" (76 cm)
Hips 54" (137 cm)
Bodice length from shoulder seam 14. 75" (37. 5 cm)
Skirt length 24" (61 cm)
Sweep 70" (178 cm)
FABRIC/COLORS: The small-scale repeating pattern reminds me of a quilt, done in two shades of blue plus muted raspberry, with black and white. The fabric itself is a medium weight nylon jersey knit.
TAGS: No tags.
CLOSURES: Sideseam metal zipper. There are beltloops but no belt. I have shown the dress in some photos with a belt from my closet - it is not included with purchase.
CONDITION: There are several (like maybe 9?) small holes in the skirt that I found by holding it up to daylight - see #1 closeup of the largest one, with something red underneath. They are mostly on the front. Nylon jersey doesn't fray, so they are stable, and the nature of the print makes them difficult to see unless you are looking closely. A former owner undertook repair of two larger holes, and did an fine job - closeups enclosed of those as well. I have hand stitched a small section of open seam at the left waistband, and a similar area at the neckline. No stains or other issues noted.
