This is a dark purple belly dancer costume made in the 1920s. Both pieces are made of a muslin or gauze fabric.

The vest has little metal cymbals along the front and bottom. It is 36” as measured from side seam to side seam in the back (but because it’s open in the front, there might be more room) and 14” long. It is missing some of the cymbals. The gathered skirt has a drawstring and is 38” at the waist if stretched fully and 28” long.

There is quite a bit of fading in it (see pics) and the cymbals have some pitting and discoloring.
