The yellow, red, black, and brown colors in this vintage cookie jar are still very vibrant. There is crazing, some paint loss (especially his lips), and minor chips here and there. Some of the chips or dings occurred during the production process because they’re painted the original color.

There is wear along his neckline because of the movement of lifting the lid on and off.

It measures about 10” high, 7 ½” wide, and 6 ½” deep from the bottom to the top of the scarecrow’s hat.

It no longer has its Royal Sealy sticker but I know it was made by the company in Japan in the 1950s.
