Vintage Coat Green Boucle Wool with Collar$80.00
This is a beautiful vintage winter stroller coat. It is a gorgeous shade of green—an evergreen color with tinges of blue with the green. It is made of wool boucle and I believe the collar may be mink.
It has green satin lining, side seam pockets with a faux flap on the top, and bound buttonholes. It has 6 gray buttons, which I believe are the originals.
I consider it in overall excellent vintage condition because there are no holes or rips. There is some underarm staining on the lining, but of course that’s not visible from the outside. The buttons are a bit faded but still fully functional.
The size is unmarked but it fits like a large (which I am, and it fits me perfectly). Please refer to these measurements to ensure a correct fit. It is 40” underarm to underarm (which I use as the bust measurement) when the coat is closed. It is 39” long from shoulder to bottom. The sleeves are 21” long.
Made by Brynwood Coats for John Wanamaker Rittenhouse Shops (Wanamaker’s was a venerable old Philadelphia department store). The coat is from the 1950s or 1960s.
