Vintage Blue Cameoware Cake Plate Platter Large Plate Harker Pottery Co

This beautiful vintage periwinkle blue Cameoware plate was originally used as a cake plate. I use mine as platters or even on occasion as dinner plates because I love the detail and shape of the “handle” on the sides. It has the Dainty Flower stencil pattern in white, with both scalloped and flat edges.

It is 12” from handle to handle and 10 ¾” from the plain side to plain side. It has crazing on both the top and bottom (normal for pieces of this type and age). It has some discoloring on the back. There’s an old, very shallow chip near one edge on the back. See pics.

Please see my other Cameoware listings.

Harker Pottery produced Cameoware from 1936 until the 1950s. The stencil pattern on this plate was called "Dainty Blue" and "White Blossom" in the company’s sales brochures but is now usually called "Dainty Flower.” Harker’s brochures said Cameoware was made of “semi-porcelain that is heatproof, coldproof, and acid-resisting.”

Marked “Cameoware by Harker Pottery Co Patented USA” on the back.
