Vintage 70s Don Cole Ltd. Bell Sleeve Floral Embroidered Maxi Dress. This beautiful dress is a soft blue acrylic or acrylic knit blend, as the label is a bit faded, and I cannot see in full. It has multi colored floral embroidery throughout in shades of orange, pink, green, purple, and white.

The front has a v shaped neckline, the dress has wide bell sleeves, the fabric is flexible, the center shows off the definition of the wearer’s midsection, waist, hips, front, and back, and the dress has a maxi length hem.

This is a closure free pullover style. Please note the following flaws; holes found in front of dress, in one of the sleeves, and in back.

There is 1.75” of hem allowance folded in and sewn underneath the hem, so if the new owner wants to use some of that fabric for restoration, it may be a possibility.

I am leaving as is though, and being considerate in price, and while the issues deflect from value, this piece is special, can still be worn, mended, and I think is a beautiful creation from an old designer who’s name or garments are hard to find in circulation anymore, so the value is even greater. I hope whomever purchases this will restore, wear, or pass along, but continue to enjoy, and keep the name and dress alive.
