A fun and funky Vintage, estimated 1960's Fringe Trimmed Short, Open front Swing Coat from Zim Stra.
The color on this coat looks like a beachy faded creamsicle red to me. It has the appearance of being faded to me, but I do think it is the intentional color and matches the satin lining. The fabric is a solid-colored boucle and the fringe trim is a shag, not unlike that of the rugs of the era. There are no fabric content or care tags attached.
Two shag trimmed faux pockets at the chest, two functional shag trimmed slip pockets at hips.
Fantastic bell-shaped sleeves with shag trim at the cuffs, hem and collar.
In fair to good Vintage condition. There is a pen mark on the lining at the top of the neck - does not show when worn. The lining is in good condition, no stains or holes or tears. The top left pocket is securely attached but needs to be tacked down. Small repair made to the left slip pocket by previous owner (see pics) has some loose threads. No stains, holes or other damage to exterior.
This is such a fun and interesting piece - it reminds me of something Free People might put out today. The shoulders are not formed or fitted so it drapes nicely on any size. There is no size tag attached, I'm estimating this will fit a Medium or Large frame and have listed in both for exposure. Please check the measurements for best fit estimation.
22" pit to pit, taken across the back
28" length, top of neck to hem down center back
23" approximate sleeve length
