This listing is for a rare homemade top and skirt set. Skilled seamstresses would make clothes at home using Vogue patterns and would receive the Vogue Design label to put into their garments.

According to the Vintage Fashion Guild, “If you find one of these labels in a garment, it is an indication that it was sewn using a Vogue pattern. Often, these garments are very well made, as some of the patterns were quite difficult to sew and were attempted only by skilled seamstresses.”

This is such a great design, likely made in the 1960s. The colors are bold and bright. The skirt has a metal zipper up back. The zipper has been replaced. The blouse is pull over the head however it does have a side zipper which does not work. Easy to pull over head with boat neck. The sleeve cuffs have gray rose shaped buttons. Inset sleeves. Boat neck with wide yoke which gathers.

condition: skirt zipper has been replace and side metal zipper on top does not work although as I said earlier, it is easy to slip over head.. One discoloration in small spot of back of blouse.
