This vintage 1960s beaded sweater shell is perfectly gorgeous, so cool and sophisticated! Hong Kong did the best work of this kind, and this piece is droolworthy for sure. The silhouette is simple, letting the magnificant beadwork take center stage.
SIZE: Labeled 34. Measurements taken without stretching
Bust - 34" (86. 5 cm)
Armhole circumference - 15" (38 cm)
Length from shoulder seam - 19" (48 cm)
Bottom hem circumference - 32" (81. 25 cm)
FABRIC/COLORS: The underlying shell is pale icy teal blue, similar to a very light shade of swimming pool blue. It's wool, with a thin soft silk or acetate lining. The shell is completely covered in clear iridescent sequins with floral vine motifs done in opaque white glass beads with the occasional pearl center. Several of the motifs have a few strands of dangly bead "fringe" and the bottom of the sweater is edged with seed bead fringe, each one anchored with a tiny faux pearl.
TAGS: Sammy Wong Hand Beaded Sweater Company, Kowloon Hong Kong
CLOSURES: The sweater opens completely in back with a metal zipper, with a small hook & eye at the top to secure it.
CONDITION: I do not see any stains, holes, missing beads or sequins or other issues.
