Vintage 50s Wedding Dress - Bridal Gown XS S
Fitted waist, sheer lace sleeves, and very full skirt. Back metal zipper. Scalloped, lightly sequined neckline. Floral lace throughout. Sleeves end in a snap button closure.
34" max bust, 26" waist, 57" long, 23" sleeve, 13" shoulder. Model is 5'1" and standing on footstool in some pictures, for comparison. Dress would be too long for someone of this height.
There are two layers of tulle- The outer layer has appliques of lace on the lower portion front and back with lace coming down over it - so pretty. The next layer is tiered layers. This layer of tulle really gives the dress volume, like a crinoline. No inner tags - I believe the dress is nylon with an acetate lining.
Flaws: The hem of the acetate lining is a bit dingy. The hem is separating and tearing for 6". This tear could be sewn up if desired to secure it. There are two quarter size and one nickle sized tear on lining, these would be below waist on skirt part.
On the outermost layer of tulle, 3 1/2 inches up from the bottom there is a fingertip size perfect circle. Not far from this there is a V-shape repair made to the tulle, looks like machine down stitching. This covers 2" on each side of the V. Small repair in tulle by shoulder and on the sleeve the tulle is separating for an inch, I don't know if stitching would make it more noticeable..but I am leaving it as is. One underarm has some very small lace damages, the other has more damage.

Despite the damage the dress could still be worn and enjoyed.
