This is an exceptional example of an early 1950s bubble dress. This cocktail dress features a bubble hem plus pannier-style bouffant poufs that extend from side seams to center-back. The boned bodice, strapless dress is fully lined and is embellished with three large self bowknots. The silk fabric is printed with a large abstract watercolor floral repeat. The bust is 34 inches. The waist is 24 inches. The skirt length, as measured from the waistline to the hem, is 25.5 inches. (Purchase does not include display mannequin.)
