Vintage 50s Formal 42R Shawl Collar Dinner Jacket, Trousers, Braces Details:
- silk satin shawl collar in a brown-hued satin (used to be black but faded evenly over time)
- angled upper chest pocket
- flap front pockets
- single breasted with light shoulder padding- 3 button cuff
- original tag for inspection in top pocket
- trousers have a black satin strip on sides, watch pocket, side slit pockets, back pockets and are not lined, metal Conmar zipper topped with slide latch
- single button jacket with center back vent fully lined
- white suspender straps
- buttons for braces on outer band of trousers
- trousers are pleated with waist darts on the front and back
- pocket watch pocket on trousers as well as side length braiding
- best for a 42R as was originally made but please see measurements for determining fit
- shirt shown just to give an idea of a white shirt but not included with the purchase

Material: wool and synthetic fiber blend, silk satin trim

Decade: mid-1950s to early 1960s

Brand/Tags: Luxury Lined, Genuine Palm Beach, union label from late 40s to early 60s, size 42R, Dunhill's

Condition: Good
- lapels on jacket faded evenly, one stain shown in image next to pointer, a few spots where the satin is picked with a wear area to inner satin at back neckline above hang loop
- a few small spots on jacket that are extremely small
- trousers have a mark on satin stripe where hung on a hanger shown in image along with a couple of small spots shown in images
- braces have cracks where the leather slides on button so I am not sure how much life is left in them but the elastic is still good with some light marks
- set has not been cleaned but no odors to note and presents beautifully in person
