50s Plaid Wool Princess Coat

This is such a chic dress coat! It was made by hand in the 1950s, of a beautiful plaid wool primarily featuring cranberry tones, with some olive green and taupe accents. The color scheme is complemented by the cranberry velvet at the shawl collar and cuffs. This shape is a classic 1950s princess coat, with buttons down the center and a defined waist, thanks to impeccably tailored princess seams. In addition to the button closure, it also features strategically placed snaps to ensure there's no gaping when the coat is closed. It is fully lined in a matching cranberry satin. Fabric is not listed, assuming wool/wool blend, with acetate lining.

Measurements: This will best fit a modern size small in my opinion, but could also work for an XS or M; please refer to below measurements.

Shoulders: 15.5"

Chest: 37" measured under armpits

Waist: 31"

Sleeves: 24.75" cuffed (can be uncuffed/made longer)

Length: 38"

In good vintage condition, but the fabric is a bit threadbare in some places. It is not easy to tell due to the pattern, and it is completely wearable as-is; it is being sold as-is and is priced accordingly.
